I’m often asked how I select wines for the Wilco Fine Beverage portfolio. Every wine must offer exceptional value and a unique point of difference—whether through lesser-known grape varieties, emerging regions, or distinctive winemaking techniques. There’s always something new to discover.

International trade shows are a key part of my selection process, allowing me to meet producers from around the world who are eager to introduce their wines to Ontario. I recently returned from Wine Paris, one of the world’s largest wine trade shows, where I joined 52,000 attendees from 154 countries, tasting wines from over 5,300 producers. I’m excited to share some of my discoveries with you in the coming months.
